Hiccups.

Have you ever had the hiccups? My papa always used to say, "You can't have the hiccups, you're a girl, you have the "Shecupps". I don't know what made me think of that. Anyways. When I get the hiccups, they're violent, painful, and loud. I hate that. I bet you're wondering "Why is she writing about hiccups?" Well, just hang on a minute, and I'll tell you.

Things are going good with the adoption process. Its been a while since I've written a post, just because we've been so busy with different things. I flew to Ohio last month for a chuch conference, school has been busy, church has been busy, LIFE has been busy. Here it is December 1 and a sunny 70 degree day and I haven't moved from this chair all morning. I've been editing pictures from our latest fundraiser. We had a mini-shoot at Flat Rock Park. It was awesome. Pefect weather, perfect clients, and we raised over $500. I must say, God is good.

We had another yard sale a month or so ago. We raised another $300 there. I'm amazed at how fast things are moving along with the adoption. We have all the paperwork finished and our home study visit is scheduled for December 6. The next step will be a consultation with the physicians in Tennessee with the NEDC.

Back to the hiccups. It's amazing how hiccups work, really. You're just going along, minding your own business, and BAM. They catch you off guard. Things are going so well with the adoption that I have begun to stress myself out wondering when the hiccup will come. Maybe its just my human nature, but everything has a hiccup at some point, right? Hopefully nothing will cause a major hiccup and we will continue to sail through. We are blessed, regardless.

One more thought. It's December 1. Twenty-four days until Christmas. How did that happen? I have to make myself slow down and not get caught up in the holiday speedrace. Don't forget the reason for the season. I can officially say, Merry Christmas (even though it is 75 degrees outside).

I'm still available for pictures if you're interested! Message me and I'll give you the details! ;) Keep us in your prayers as we have our first home study visit on Sunday! Thank you all for your support!

-Whitney
