Dear Child of Mine,
I have so much to say but no words to say them. I guess I'll just start by introducing myself. I'm your mom and I love you. Even though we have not met, my heart is so full, knowing that you're somewhere in God's mind. I'm not sure if you've already been born or if you've even been conceived, but God knows, and that's good enough for me. Your daddy and I have prayed for you for a very long time.
I've had many moments of discouragement, but the hope of holding you in my arms one day, is a source of strength.
Truthfully, I never really wanted children. Until Leah came into our lives, I never knew how much I could love someone. That love and desire has grown so much over the past 6 years. We know that God will bring us together, one day. Hopefully sooner rather than later. But God's timing is perfect and we will wait however long we have to.
Let me tell you about our family...
Your daddy and I are "highschool sweethearts". I love being able to say that because it's a story that not many people have these days. We love each other very much. We have traveled down this road together and I could not think of anyone else I would rather have by my side, than your daddy. He is a hard working man. He is an honest man. He is a faithful man. He is a patient man. He is a loving man. He always complains about his hands being so rough from years of working. They never look completely clean even though he scrubs them. Honestly, its one of my favorite things about him. It shows his character. The most important thing is that he is a good daddy.
You have a sister, named Leah. She is the most amazing girl. We prayed for her just as much as we are praying for you. She is a girly girl but loves to be outside playing in the dirt with bugs just as much. She has an infectious laugh that I love to hear. She is caring and very sensitive. And, oh, what a sense of humor she has. She loves to carry Dandelion, our dog, around like a baby. I think she is going to be such an amazing big sister. I can't wait for her to be able to hold you and say "This is my baby sister or baby brother."
Of course there are many other members of our family that will love you, too. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. I know they can't wait to meet you either.
I heard a message from a preacher this past Sunday. It was an Aha moment for me. It was about God being able to move mountains. Here we stand at the bottom of this mountain (waiting for you), and we're praying that God will move it because we want to have you in our arms so badly. I pray that I have not been in the way of God's blessing. It really made me reassess everything in my life. Do I put God first? Do I study His word? Do I pray daily? I'm working fervently to make sure I do so that God will give us the blessing of YOU! We want to give HIM all of the glory for you!
Well, dear child, if you don't hear anything else, please know that you are loved. Please know that we are praying diligently for you. Please know that we can't wait to meet you. Please know that we are seeking Gods will and that you will be with us soon.
I love you,
Mom

Its only been a month, but it seems like forever.
We finally have a date for the yard sale in Donalsonville. It will be held at the First Church of the Nazarene on October 2-3. If you're in/around Donalsonville and have items that you would like to donate, please contact my mom, Linda @229-254-3380.
As for the yard sale in Columbus, we are still planning. It will probably be around the end of October. Stay tuned for those dates.
We still have our YouCaring page active. We want to thank you all for your prayers and generous giving! We have had several monitary donations as well as yard sale donations. We are super close to having our goal of $600 for the application fee! We are super excited to get this first step underway!
